I just bought a Vonage connection with the Motorola VT 2142 adapter
ISP :BSNL,Bangalore
DSL Modem:HUAWEI SMARTAX MT880

After performing the instructions,when I try to connect to the internet,it just does not connect and gives me an WAN Miniport (PPOE) error

The computer is not ab le to recognise the IP address at all,I tried to troubleshoot with the inputs from the guide but no luck.

Would anyone be able to help?

I'm sure we can help, but you will do better if you move this to the Voip forum. It will be overlooked here in the hard wiring forum. Please include all the technical details listed in the sticky post at the top of the Voip forum.

can you get a dialtone?


and just no internet?

if you log in to the router and click on status and then on WAN status..what does it say in the last column under reason i think it is
