Friends,
I have a Vonage softphone account. I have had it for a really long time, but I have never really made great use of it because it's not always real convenient for me to whip out the headset and laptop to make a call. Ultimately, what I would like to be able to do is configure some IP-based ATA (like a Sipura SPA, or even a Wifi-phone) to attach to my Softphone for use. I think I would use it a lot more if I had access to it through hardware similar to my regular Vonage account.
Has anybody out there had any success doing this? I've read articles here about people using their D-Link DPH-540 Wifi phone, which is encouraging, but too spendy for my taste. I've even considered buying a 'generic' PAP2 for it.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Russ |

I use an unlocked UTStarcom WiFi phone with a soft phone account. The current price (no subsidy, of course) is $129 at VoIP Supply. An ATA would cost less and would work where wired Ethernet is available. |
