Are you sure it is simulringing? If it is not provisioned it should automatically forward to your network avalibility number. If you put that in as your cellphone then that is why it is going to your cell still.
As for why it keeps de-provisioning on you, it may be a conflict with the two DHCP servers. I remember reading somewhere that the Actiontec modems don't like to play nicely with the VT2442 when it has DHCP enabled for some reason. I would try logging into the VT2442(192.168.15.1 from the VT2442's LAN port) and either fully disable DHCP if you do not plan on pluging a wired computer into the VT2442, or set it up using so that the Actiontec is doing all of the DHCP for your network. To do this you will need one extra ethernet cable.
First, log into the VT2442 and disable DHCP in the LAN options, then in the WAN options disable the firewall and NAT. Next, run a cable from the modem to a LAN port on the VT2442. Then, run your extra ethernet cable from a LAN port on the VT2442 to the WAN port on the VT2442. This setup will have all of your DHCP and NAT duties being done by the Actiontec, so if the double Natting was interfering with your provisioning this will resolve that issue.
If this doesn't work for some reason, simply hold in the reset button on the back of the VT2442 for 10+ seconds and it should bring everything back to factory defaults for you.

yeah. i fixed the issue with the phone auto-forwarding just a second ago.
as for the DHCP servers I do need to have the server turned on on the V2442 as I've got 2 computers plugged in to it. Would it work if i turned it off DHCP and assigned it a static ip from the Actiontec modem because it's always going to get the same ip address automatically anyway that's how i have it setup as per
Vonage
.
I do have wireless turned on on the Actiontec Gateway as well. Before I moved upstairs this was working fine as well.
I could just turn off nat in general if that's what's messing it up.
I'm thoroughly confused as to why this is going on.

There is no need to statically assign IP's if you follow the directions above. The Actiontec modem will automatically assign an IP to everything plugged into the VT2442 via its DHCP server.

Does the Actiontec have a Network ID of 192.168.15 in the LAN configuration? This can cause problems if the Motorola VT2442's LAN configuration had a Network ID set to 192.168.15.
(By the way, I use the term "Network ID" for x.x.x since the last set of 3 digit numbers, like .1, .2, .3, etc. (but can't start at 0 for DHCP since you can have up to 254 hosts like computers and print servers) is a Host ID. In color: [color:green]192.168.0[color:blue].1 is [color:green]Network ID and [color:blue]Host ID, respectively. I just thought you might want to get familiar with networking.)

He said in the first post that it is at 192.168.0.1... So that is not the issue.

i set it up that way as above and i obviously did something wrong or it didn't work so what i did was reset the ATA - like a hard reset back to factory defaults. After that reset it's now working just fine without changing anything.
i did turn off NAT on the ATA just for safe-keeping but looks like everything should be up and going... for now.
