Of all the problems I have with Vonage, this is the worst, and started today..
I can NOT place a call, only receive them. When I dial the numbers, I get a dead line, no sounds or anything, but the other parties phone DOES ring...
Is Vonage having problems with their network or something? It is NOT my network, I am a certified network tech and have done every possible test on my network, those Vonage boxes (two of them are now having the same problem), are getting to Vonage, and my connection with Voip services is good (i got 10Mbps down AND up).. |

No problems on my end here in central Ohio. I can make and receive calls with no problems. Makes it tough to contact customer support when you can't dial out. Good luck! |

Have you tried to power cycle your network setup? |

I can't stress it enough, it's not MY network... The Vonage boxes WERE doing their jobs, the problem was outside my network..
I never touched a thing, and they are working this morning.. |

it's back to not working again now...
being it's my fathers account, he'll have to email Vonage about it..
(But I can dial my voice mail number, and that works fine, I can hear the robotic lady and get messages.. so that alone is also proof it's not MY network..) |

UPDATE: It's having problems again. I've tried emailing Vonage, but I get nowhere with them, it's usually no replies..
I did talk on the phone with a tech, and we DID rule out my network as the problem, they said right on the phone my boxes are having a perfect connection with their "tier"... However, and admitted, the problem is on their side..
But they won't fix it! I'm seriously out of ideas.. Is there anything else left for me to do? |

that's what i feared.. the only other Voip option i have left is my ISPs, and theirs is horrible... (i have to get a new modem for that, and it only has 1 line, with Vonage, we have 2 different boxes because there's two people in this house that have phones)..
skype: im totally confused about that service.. can i even use a real phone? |
