HI,

Anyone tried the "move a number" feature through the web account on Uk Vonage?

I can't get it to work. I've tried moving my number from Port #1 to Port #2 and it doesn't happen. The techy guys are still looking at it, because they don't know whats wrong.

If I ring them, they can force the router (Linksys RT31P2) to re-sync with the server but this doesn't seem to happen without human intervention (i.e. I have to then ring them and they force the device to do it). Waited days, reset the box, powered down and re-started.

Anyone any experience of this and any solutions?

I tried Move-a-number in Canada and finally got it to work. I moved between a V-phone and Linksys PAP2. After I moved to the V-phone and try to move back to the PAP2, I encountered a problem. The PAP2 would not take on the setting from the Vonage web site. The problem was resolved by bypassing the router. I connected the PAP2 directly to the cable modem and the power cycled cable modem, followed by PAP2.

I've contacted Vonage about this one and they've said there is a problem with the web service - technical support were able to move the line when i spoke to them.

They've admitted to me there is a technical problem at their end, and they're aiming for a fix today - however, I still can't get it to work.

Anyone else had any joy with this?
