LOA form is delivered through e-mail. if you didn't receive any copy of this one, all you have to do is to visit your own Vonage web account. Under the dashboard, just click on the number transfer status link on the right part on the screen. then click on the "start my number transfer" link there there then will provide you a copy of this one. |

We're sorry but this page is currently unavailable. Please try again later, or contact Customer Care for more information. I'm currently going on minute 35 of being hold with customer care to find out what is wrong. I just signed up 40 minutes ago and I am hoping I do not severely regret this
Upon signing up (actually on the order confirmation page) it says to click here for the form, and there is nothing to indicate that I should be waiting for an email before I do. The link in my profile takes me to the same place, with the same missing form. Since it really just is a basic authorization form, I do not understand why they can't just make a PDF available for everyone and let you fill in what is necessary. |

I eventually hung up, over an hour on hold is WAY too long. Especially when there is only one song and no "your call will be answered in x minutes updates". I might have gotten answered in the next 5 minutes, it may have been 6 more hours, no way to know. I still have the "Letter of Agency missing" error, how long should I wait for this link to work before canceling service? Is there perhaps a better time to try to call customer service? I have the eerie feeling of "we got your CC number, you will never speak to us again".... Mark |

So I decided the phone was not the way to go (not having more than an hour to kill) but I thought maybe sending an email would help me get this form which they seem unable to post to a website.
After explaining that I was seeing the "Letter of Agency missing" error when I followed the instructions and clicked on the "start my number transfer" to get the letter, they wrote back and told me (you guessed it) to log into my account and click on the "start my number transfer" link.
I wrote back explaining that perhaps they did not actually read my email, and that I WAS clicking on the link and getting the "Letter of Agency Missing" error. This is the response I get from customercare@vonage.com:
We understand from your email that you are experiencing issues to transfer your number to Vonage.
We have Resent Letter of Authorization to your email address dontspamme@nope.uh.uh. In this case we recommend you to fill out this form and send it to Vonage at the earliest. We will do the needful.
wow......just wow. That is totally unedited (except for my email address) and even the screwy characters are exactly as they showed up in my email client.
And of course that was an hour ago and still no letter of authorization in my inbox (why they could not have attached it to the interestingly worded email above I have no idea).
What is so special about this letter that makes it impossible to get? Shouldn't it be a standard from letter?
I am giving Vonage exactly 29 days to "do the needful" and get this number transfered and then I am canceling. I am not going to be one of the "5 month" crowd and I am not paying a late fee because they take too long to do something that anyone in the telecom industry knows should not take more than 3 days tops.

I didn't get an LOA e-mail either, so I just called them, and they took it over the phone. It took less than 10 days, and now my number is transferred.
I know that Vonage customer service is seriously lacking, so I just kept asking for a supervisor for other matters (they didn't always want to transfer me, but I was persistant), and the higher you go in the chain, the better service you get.
Not the transfer of my number, that went very smoothly with the first agent.
See Ya, John |

Well, I finally got through to someone who was helpful and understood the problem. After also failing to pull up the LOA, she canceled the whole thing and started a new request (and waived the fee that would normally be charged for doing so). The LOA form came up exactly as it should, is now submitted and I guess the ball is in Verizon Wireless's court now.
The probably was obviously with 3PV, and they were no help at all. Vonage really ought to reconsider doing business with them or demand they provide some real customer service. |

I am having exactly the same problem and now it is December! All i get from customer "no service" is they are unable to either send me the LOA or to put it up on the internet. They sat they have "opened a ticket" whatever that means. Insanity! why does this have to be so difficult? |
