Interesting question. On the face of it, that application might work better than ordinary conversation, since turn around wouldn't be an issue to you. Unfortunately, it might be an issue with the system, because "handshakes" have to take place. Undue delay on those might cause the system to fail.
You should probably do a search on the forum for discussions of the satellite ISP issue. |

GREAT NEWS!!!
After 6 days without internet due to the incompetence of the tech support team at Hughes Net (Level 2 & 3 were no better than the overseas crew), we are up and the Vonage works well with the dictaphone. We are not heard well when we try to use it as a phone, but the high download speeds allow us to download the audio files for transcription. There is a delay when using the pedal's to forward and reverse functions, but after a few hours we have learned how to finess it and make it work better. |

That's terrific. I doubt that many people find themselves in a similar situation, but it's nice to know that it works. |
