HI all
Just having problem with caller display. Does not seen to work on my new Binatone MA760....
Callers numbers are logged in my disboard/billing just not on this phone......any one else had similar problems/fixes.
Is it a case that some phones does not work reading other posts...........????

No your phone is fine!! it's just another case of americanism. They do not use the uk standard caller id method. They need to adapt to UK specifications more.We also have a binatone phone that works fine with every other network but not Vonage. They should consult BT sinenet to get all tones announcements and codes set to what the UK telephone network uses. We're still waiting for loads and loads of changes - |

Oh no…………..that’s really frustrating as we need caller ID. Spent a long time choosing that phone for it not to work. Any ideas on what phone will work with Vonage and have a clear display to read caller ID.

I am having the same issue - Vonage have connected the "carrier" which I think means the people managing the sip gateway that handles incoming calls to my phone to resolve the issue. That was 2 weeks ago
The only time it has worked was when I was doing some checks with them and they called me whilst the phone was in use and it showed the number then (but that is the only time).
I am going to call them again soon to see if they can advise when its going to be fixed. |

I call them as well......................really hope they are able to fix soon...............as I just brought a phone for caller ID which does not work !!!

The annoying thing for me is, I used to be a freetalk customer and used a freetalk branded cordless phone (although I wouldnt recommend them) and caller ID worked great (to the point where the system would ignore the hide caller ID flag so I could always see who was calling), but since Vonage took over the customer base and moved us onto their network it hasnt worked at all. |

My problem is I really do need caller ID working and do not know which phone to buy to get it working.............I can not keep on buying phones !!!

I have a Panasonic KX-TCD505 and caller ID works fine (except for an extra 0 sometimes - yet another problem with the Vonage network!). I don't hink you can buy them new anymore but there are some on eBay. Maybe all Panasonic phone are compatibale - I don't know.

I had the same problem with my Sagem D85C cordless phone which worked fine with Freetalk adaptor. I bought BT Calypso 120 from the Link on sale for £10.00 but not anymore it is gone. You can buy now at £29.99 from http://www.telephonesonline.co.uk/details.asp?prodID=1002&title=BT+Cordless+Phones. This phone 100% works with Vonage CID.
