works fantastic I have one and sell them as well at the telephone booth stop by and try it yourself. Sure you can get it on line however you pay shipping and activation, buy it in a store get free activation of course no shipping. In speaking with the rep so far the only stores that have it is us (the telephone booth) email me and I'll give you more info m17@cabtel.ca |

To answer your question on which on is better, right now i would say the V Phone, for the only reason that there are not many Wi Fi spots around and the ones that are need pin codes which the current Wi Fi is not able to do, so use the v phone it works great m17@cabtel.ca |

The V-Phone is a soft phone that sits on the USB stick. Vonage uses this as this lets them distribute a soft phone as a "main account" without giving out SIP credentials. If you carry around a PC and want to use it as your phone, either the V-Phone or soft phone are good choices.
The WiFi phone is an integrated device. It does not need anything other than access to work - which could be your own WiFi, WiFi of someone that youknow, or any "open" WiFi. With respect to the user name/password entry at hot spots - it is true that the WiFi phone does not give you a way to do that. It is more true that you would likely never do it for "just a phone" (WiFi Phone, V-Phone or otherwise) since the charges for these hot spots are between $10 per day and $30 per month PER DEVICE. In that case, if you have a V-Phone or soft phone on your PC, you could both get your e-mail, do other things that you need to do, and also use the phone on a single device (your PC).
If all you wanted to do was make calls, then a cell phone or even a pay phone with a pre-paid card (remember those??) would be a far cheaper choice. |
