Post subject: hi
Hi Peter-I first enables the DHCP server on my data one DSL modem link so that I can select the option update IP address automatically on the TCP/IP setting(network connections/control panel). Then I went to the linksys site and selected the option Static IP and entered the IP address, default gatewat etc values that was provided to me by data one and saved the settings..The mistake I did earlier was selecting the option PPPOE.
Hope this helps...........

Post subject: Can't log in to linksys
Sorry for missing out on this thread from the beginning, but I only recently logged into this site.
I am having the exact same problems as Bangalore. I can't seem to get a dial tone our use my wireless connection to the internet. I tried going to the linksys site, but I don't have a user name or password. When should I have received these? I signed up on the site to register my router, but that user name and password aren't working.
Any guidance would be helpful.
