I have a Linksys WRT54GX Router and D-LINK VTA adapter(one shipped w/ Vonage).

It appears that when ever an incoming call is received or an outgoing call placed, my wireless internet connection drops, then is restored after hanging up. No modifications have been made to the router, and it worked fine prior to Vonage.

Called tech support, but could not understand, too much accent. I am aware of interference between the 2.4Ghz band on the Wi-fi and cordless, but like I mentioned had no problems prior. Also played with bandwidth saver to no success. Contemplating putting a static IP on Vonage adapter and trying to implement a QoS or something. Have high-speed cable connection.

Also when on a call and another call comes in ( call waiting), the call is dropped completely...possibly related possibly not.

Anyone have any thoughts, comments? Thanks for your time

Does the same thing happen while using a corded phone connected directly to the VTA?

I understand everything used to work previously, but this would be a pretty quick test.

Agreed. We've seen a lot of posts describing quirky interference problems that start suddenly.

Also if Kulle is using MAC cloning anywhere in the setup, this can cause similar symptoms.

I traced the path and drew out the logic flow of data and voice and ruled out the Vonage phone adapter. I focused on the WRT54GX router, where the wireless seemed to experience data interference. I JUST contacted Linksys tech support online, and we confirmed my router has the latest firmware...turns out the support person is emailing me a "beta" of the next rev...interesting and he did state, "this should fix the problem".....so FYI for anyone else with similar issues....appears Linksys is on it.

I will post results when I get and install update. Appreciate all your input !

Craig...to your sugestion - what's a corded phone????? haha

I could not try that because I don't have a corded phone anymore...but actually was going to hook up my old 900Mhz !!
