Currently, all the rj45 cable and rj11 cable is ran directly from each port in each office in this complex, back to a patch panel near my dsl line hookup.
Now, if office1 has 2 wall plates, each one has a voice and a data port. How would I go making it where if anyone unplugs their phone from walljack 1 (voice port) and plugs it into walljack 2 (voice port), it will still be the same phone number?
Well, I think I answered the above question.
Use a multiple jack extension connector, available from your local Home Center. Plug the connector into the phone port of your phone adapter, and then plug your other phones into the connector.
Also, from the rj 11 patch panel, is that where I plug the rj 11 lines into my phone adapters?
Thanks in advance |
