Sorry for the confusion. In your second post you listed the D-link VTA but not the D-link VWR. However, I see that Kimchi listed it. The D-link VWR is, indeed, a wireless router/adapter, but it wasn't listed as an available Vonage product when I checked last night. (The Vonage offerings seem to come and go pretty quickly!) In any case, we have seen a number of comments in here that the firmware needs work. |

I hate to be the nay sayer and make all the Vonage sales guys in here mad, but I would seriously consider your options.
I used Vonage for 1 yr, and on paper it looked great. In reality, the utter lack of competent technical support left me without phone, internet, or both on more occasions than I care to remember.
You will be left to deal with the technical problems almost completely on your own. So you had better be technically savy - if you are, it would be a great service. If not, RUN !

I thought I had it figured out until I started reading these post. I too am looking to setup Vonage and now unclear as to what hardware I need to get the desired results. I would like to be able to use my existing phone lines in the house as well as have a wireless connection in my office that can support one phone line and one fax line. What hardware do I need to accomplish this? I currently have upgraded my high speed to 10mbs down and 1mbs up and have wireless network already setup. |
