One of my clients uses Vonage for business and has been getting very frequent bad lines when making or taking calls. Terrible unintleigable distortion and sometimes noisy. About 7 in 10 call attempts this seems to be happening. I have noticed this from my home Vonage service as well and it seems to only happen when calls are VOIP to LandLine. In network calls are fine though.
This has just started happening within the last week or two and seems to have progressively gotten worse. As I also get the same problem happening although not as often due to my calling volume being much less, ARE any others running into this issue?
I am positive that it's not anything to do with the hardware or software as the users end.

I get it since the last 1-2 weeks too! I have a Dlink VTA, and I thought it was just the phone. But switching phones, and calling a number of different people, it still happens, but not too often.
To describe what the problem is like to me, it makes squelching, incomprehensible sounds when someone talks. It does not make a noise when the person does not talk, but when they try to, their voice is masked by a ton of fuzz. It is heard on both sides. I have found that calling again will usually do the trick, yet sometimes it is not an option for me.
Anyone else with this issue? |

Yeah, exactly! So hard to describe in words. I was going to record it, but I'm glad I don't have to go to all that effort. Thanks for posting it. Maybe other people will now be able to relate to it. |
