hi guys, my sister used to have freetalk.. and her setup would be
BT westell adsl modem 36r305>>(usb) pc>> vt2442. this was the setup the tech supprot gave us and instruct us to go t control panel, network connections,.go to the broadband provider, right click on the icon and go to the properties to allow other users to connect through the pc's internet connection.
the power light on the vt2442 was still blinking... can you help me out with setting up my sister's network |

You should not use a USB modem with Vonage, as when u switch off your PC, you loose the connection. Purchase a basic ADSL Ethernet modem, that plugs into the mains power and stays on all of the time, then plug your Vonage phone adaptor in to that. I presume the adaptor cannot run very well thru that USB modem. |

skin is right - u better change ur modem to ethernet modem but before you do that - go to this website first and try setting it up and chck if it will, otherwise, change it

i already did the setup in the Vonage website for usb modems (vonage.co.uk/freetalk) and its stuck on 2 blinks well i guess my last resort would be buying an ethernet modem, thanks for the help guys! |
