how come i've received emails telling me my area code is already available but when i tried to sign up online and even called vonage help, they'd only tell you it's a system error. Sure is a waste of time. Vonage must make sure they roll out only accurate information. Not talking

The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to
persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.

"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown
up
and say,
'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or That's Michael, He's a
doctor.'

A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the
teacher, She's dead. "

Eine kleine Idee..
Just a small idea:
Maybe Vonage DID get the area code available, but suddenly, something else happened such that they "lost control" (or whatever it is) of the area code, and then when you called Vonage, the area code is no longer in the database? Things such as these could be subject to change... I don't really know, I'm not from within the company anyway.

Sometimes Vonage will get access to the area code, then the deal will fall through. Vonage will then lose the area code so sometimes its not quite there fault.

For the past few months, if you looked at availability of the 580 area code (western OK) you will sometimes see the area code available, or sometimes not.

At first, the only city available was Ada (I think). After a while Enid became the only city available.

But 580 and Enid have been coming and going every few weeks. Typically it’ll be available for a month or so, disappear for a week or two and re-appear.

I know multiple people who got Enid numbers when it was listed as available, so when it’s listed as available, it really is.

My suspicion is that Vonage is buying a few lines at a time from the local CLEC they deal with here and when the lines run out, Enid becomes unavalable until they buy more.

True. You could also check on getting the Virtual number, that might be useful. Smile
