I have installed X-Lite as my softphone and it does not work behind a firewall. I MUST get a softphone working behind a firewall.
Skype has a feature to configure Skype to work behind a wifewall and it works. Now I need to get this SIP Softphone to work.
Maybe I must tunnel the softphone or use other software to get it working behind a firewall. Please help!!!
Does anyone know how to achieve this? Must I use another SIP Client? If so, what software? OR Must I tunnel my SIP Client? Any recomendation for a HTTPS-tunneling-client?
Since this is on a machine, you'd have to configure the software firewall (or the hardware firewall too). but you need to open certain ports in order for the softphone to hit the Vonage servers.
