Any one has experience on this new Vonage V-Phone USB plugin. I am interested to get it for my upcoming trip overseas.
Thanks, |

I've been using one for a few weeks. What would you like to know about it?
I recommend using a computer headset. The earbuds it came with are cumbersome. I say that because I find all earbuds cumbersome, including the earbuds that come with iPods. Since there is not much substantial at the end of the cord, the cord tends to tangle. I like big, heavy headphones.
The sound quality on the v-phone is at least as good as on regular phones.
It takes some setup. You have to get the sound just right, and of course, your computer must be up and running before you make or receive a call. So it's not as quick as a desk phone, but it sure is compact.

Is it true that it is only for new customers or current customer can use it too? |

I have just received my vphone and have a few questions.
I have an unlimited plan and had a virtual number with a different area code - in Canada the virtual number was 7.99 per month so I decided to pay the extra $7 per month to change my virtual number into an additional line (14.99 per month) using the vphone so that when I travel I don't have to take my Motorola adapter and a phone.
I am curious about whether experienced users have suggestions about using forwarding vs network availability. It appears that if I put in a network availability number, when my vphone is not plugged in it will send it to my main vonage number (where it is picked up by vmail if I don't answer), and that this does not use my 500 minutes (which I understand forwarding DOES use) - do any of you know if this is correct?
Further, I have a jabra 250 "bluetooth for non-bluetooth" headset, but can't seem to get the vphone to work with it. Has anyone been able to get bluetooth to work with the vphone?
Thanks |

You have to have a blue tooth enabled laptop, or have an adapter, but after that you can log into the vphone properties and set the audio device as the blue tooth, which should auto pick up your head set. Or this is what I'm told from people that call in using the blue tooth headsets. |
