transfering number from business to residental

I currently have a business phone number at AT&T that I want transfered over to Vonage. I will be using this number for a home based business but it will be my primary residental line. Will I encounter any problems transferring an AT&T business line to a Vonage residental line?

I don't think so. However, if you want to use it for business as well as home, that's technically in violation of the Vonage TOS (terms of service).

won't he have trouble transferring his number if the name on his business ATT account doesn't match the name on the vonage account?

Hi dj, do you already have a residential account? I agree with Steve, you shouldn't have any problems but make sure the traffic of that line is not considered as business, otherwise you'll be automatically upgraded to a business plan. Confused
