Generally speaking, a computer isn't necessary to use Vonage, though relatively few people have broadband internet connections but no computer. However, you will almost certainly need to do some setup on the Vonage adapter, and you do generally need a computer to do that. Also, it's a good idea to test the internet connection, and you need a computer for that.
If you're determined to do this, I'd recommend that you get the VT2442 from Vonage and take that with you. If you can also get a low cost, lightweight, internet ready computer, it would be good to have that as well. |

Hi
I am using Vonage phone in inida for a while...it absolutely has no problems with it.Before sending the Vonage equipment to india first configure the router .Default setting for this is to accept static IP but BSNL for home use doen't support static IP so configure this to take dynamic IP address and send that to india. Ask ur guys to directly connect to Vonage router from BSNL router. From Vonage router to any corded or cordless phone leave it for 5 mins (Make sure all the powers are on).
Thas it...hope this helps.....
if you r from hyd try with tataindicom broad connection... |

Hi, I have already purchased a Vonage phone from US. Can I not get BSNL broadband connection now becos of the IP (static/dynamic) restriction?
