Just read a report that Vonage's UK voicemail system maybe down and remain down for next 48 hours.

Could any UK users confirm or deny this?

UK Voicemail should be working fine. there are no reported problems.

I can confirm that was the case, as when my voicemail did not work at about 6.30 pm, I called Vonage and they advised that it was being worked on.......hence it came back later that evening (14th)
