I receive complaints of an echo from almost everyone I speak with. I am primarily using a Panasonic KX-TG5583 cordless phone but when informed of the echo, I've switched to a wired phone with no improvement in quality.

I've included the Voip test results below. I ran the test several times and noticed that the QoS is consistently low. I set the QoS in my router relatively high at 256 kb/s. What else can I do?

If it is truly echo, then it is not a problem with your connection to the internet. That would only cause choppy audio, not echo.

I would try and move the Vonage adapter as far away from any other electronic devices as possible to see if that decreases the echo at all. I would also make sure the phone cords that you are using are using are not near and electrical cables or electronic devices. I know that when I plug my Vonage device into the same surge protector as my PC monitor, I will start getting interference on my Vonage line, which leads me to believe that the Vonage devices are extremely susceptible to EM interference. If that still doesn't work, I would say you may need to contact Vonage. Ask them to swap the # to port 2 on your device and test to see if it may be a problem with the port. If this doesn't resolve the issue you will probably need to try a new device.

I agree. Overall, the Voip results are very good. Packet discards outbound are surprisingly high for such a good Voip score, but that wouldn't explain the echo.

Thanks for the information, I'm going to try to isolate the adapter to see if that effects the echo. If not, I'll call Vonage and switch to the other port. If I still have an echo after all of that, I guess I'll have to replace the adapter

if you do hear an echo after checking the cables and switching ports-have the Vonage support tech adjust your tx gain levels or check to make sure the echo property of your device is set off (these are settings you don't see)
