have you tried setting your
Vonage
device on your routers DMZ and set QoS?

Thank you, I will try setting the
Vonage
router as the DMZ. That may help as I have the
Vonage
router plugged into one of my regular router ports. I thought about reversing the setup and plugging my router into the
Vonage
router, but I would rather stick with my router as the first thing incoming Internet traffic sees (Netgear FM114p).
My router does not support QoS so I cannot try that. I am hoping that setting the
Vonage
router as the DMZ does the trick.

Hawking Tech. Broadband Booster

This should solve your problem..No matter what your router. If outgoing call quality is an issue this will definitely help..I have several computers networked with a WRTP54G and when running BT or Azureus the outgoing quality is choppy.

Everything I have read about
Voip
whether it is skype or
Vonage
states that outgoing quality is degraded with networks and traffic. My problem was with my boy using a p2p such as aZureus. Any P2p or BitTorrent application will cause problems even when not downloading.
This tool solved all of our problems. Its worth the money for any
Voip
outgoing call quality issues.
