BTW, I am curious, my Yahoo Spyware Application identified several downloaded components of the Vonage Toolbar as spyware. Why is that?

The only thing I could think of is the function that auto checks for version updates.

Could you please send me the link to your Yahoo Spyware Application so I could test it?

Well, it's not a link. It is integrated into the Yahoo toolbar. I think if you download that and install it, you'll be able to use the Yahoo/Norton Spyware scan. I ran it just after installing the Vonage toolbar and that's when it identified two items related to the toolbar. Thanks for checking it out.

I installed the tool bar 2-3 weeks ago and started to have "internet exporer has encountered a problem and need to close". did all kind of "try to fix" nothing. I installed toolbar yesterday on wife's laptop. Guess what she started getting the same problem. Removed it from mine a little while ago and no problems so far.

Just for your info

I just downloaded the toolbar and so far I think its an awesome idea and you guys did a great job! Smile

I've got some suggestions and ideas that would be nice to see..

I think the "Vonage Forum" button could be a bit smaller. I like the direct link to the site, but it takes up alot of toolbar space. It'd be great if a later version could be customized by removing the buttons you dont want. Personally I think the zoom is useless and should be removed completely.

I still have to use the google toolbar because your Vonage one is missing one feature I love from google. I constantly use autofill.

If I could either have the option to remove the google search ect from the Vonage bar.. This would make the Vonage bar nice and simple just for voicemail and minute count, maybe add a link for Voip speed test. (I use that alot) or add an autofill feature so that I can just uninstall the google bar and just use yours.

BTW: the Tray icon instead of a toolbar is a VERY good idea. Saves space in my explorer and I can use it without having to open a browser.

Keep up the good work guys!

I'm getting an error with Internet Explorer everyone once and a while now since I've installed the Vonage Toolbar. I'm not sure if it's because I have Vonage and google bar.

I love the idea and functionality of this toolbar, hoewever like others I do not enjoy another toolbar on my FF install. It would be really neat to have it in the system notification area, as that is already there:

as you can see, multiple plugins are already written for that area, and if you'd like I would be willing to donate some time to help you get it working properly. I trust you have plenty of experiance and knowladge to make this a very useful item, and look forward to revisions!

(EDIT)
Also, while I can appreciate the google search/highlight, font increase and pop up blocker controls, I find these rather un-needed, especially in firefox. I would rather see a slimmer, shorter bar wtih a link to the forum (Which I don't mind) a voicemail counter, a min. used counter, logon/log out and that is it...

Now if you could pack that VM icon in my system tray I would use that.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but that is essentially what the Voicemail Retriever (a small application I wrote a few months back) does. http://vonage.luthertech.com

I've been away from the forums for a while, so this may have been covered, but I couldn't find it... Has Vonage offered a way to check the # of voicemails without having to do screenscrapes of their "dashboard" site? I know some Vonage adapters can supply this info, but don't think my PAP2 does. Have they offered an API? What I find in a search suggests "no".

When I try and download the Vonage, com Toolbar I get the following error message on a different page:

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
