I refered my sister via the email. She finally used it and signed up thru the email I sent thru refer a friend. So she signed up, got the equip and started service. I have received NOTHING and my refer a friend management does not show she signed up. Is this strange? Why didnt the process work? |

I may be on the incorrect path. Did she sign-up from your referral e-mail or from another method? |

Right, she would have to sign up using the link in the referral email. She would also have to have obtained the equipment directly from Vonage as part of signing up.
I had the same problem - I sent a friend a referral and he signed up on his own after getting the referral email. Didn't count as a referral for me. |

She got the refer email. Clicked the link. Signed up. Got the free 1st month and equip from Vonage. She even called me at work and said she got the email, "what do I do?" I told her to click it, and sign up. Walked her thru the process. She never heard of Vonage till I told her and she got my refer email.
Now Vonage says she did not use it. Total krap!!! This is it for me... I'm quiting Vonage ( a long term customer) and she said she (still in her first 30 days) is quiting too because of this. Sooooo... This is how Vonage works now? I'm out of here!!!! |

Did she sign up for the unlimited $24.95 or the $14.95 plan? It makes a difference. There is no referral bonus if they sign up for the 500 minute plan. I had this happen to me as my friend wanted the 500 minute plan hence no referral bonus. |

Just call Vonage and tell them what happened. They will give you the credit with no hassle. |

Then my next question is how long has she had the service. My understanding is that she must be a user for 60 days or 90 days or something like that b/4 you get the bonus. |

One month as of next week. From what I read here, the credit was instant with others. And Vonage policy says if "they dont keep it for 90 days, subject to a charge back for early ending of service". When I read from others it was an instant credit, I knew something was up when I did not get a credit way back.
Now they just say she did not use the email to sign up. Total BS...
She still has it saved, and it did indeed say "you have been referred by Randy", and she clicked on the $29 plan and followed thru in ordering. I even walked her thru it on the phone that night. I am not going to stay with a place that does business like this. I am already looking at the service my local cable co. offers and just ditch Vonage if this is not fixed in the next few hours. She is calling their CS herself on this right now. BE-WARE!!!! Vonage customers! |

Drop an Email to customer support using the forum contact page (menu top left, Vonage Information/contact support). We're told that this gives higher than ordinary support from Vonage. Tell them what you've told us. |
