The following email was sent to service@vonage.com this evening; enough is enough.....

Please be advised that as of Sunday evening, I am still without service on my 3 lines.

After being placed in contact with level 3 service, it was determined that both of my Motorola VT-1005's were no longer useable as a result of your attempted firmware update Friday, 8/25/06, at around 10:10am EDT. While credits were offered and placed, and replacement units are being shipped, I will be without phone and fax service until this coming Wednesday, 8/30/06 (hopefully). This is not acceptable customer service or company policy.

While I have endured the "burps & belches" of your system, and recommended your company to many friends and businesses, I can not continue to do so.

My logs of conversations, including names and times, attempts to restore service (which failed), and total frustration with your lack of customer support, will be made available to local and metropolitan newspapers, radio & TV contacts, and web forums & blogs including consumer reports.org.

Notwithstanding the hours of time spent with tech support, customer care, and just plain "on hold" listening to music, you have cost me several thousand dollars in lost business.

I am advising my attorneys of this situation, requesting further counsel.

I know it is horrible to be without service for an extended period of time, but if you had even read this forum before posting this thread you would have been able to fix each and every one of your devices in under 10 minutes as many of the forum members including myself were. If you won't even take the time to check the thread which now appears directly below your thread relating to this issue and how to fix it, then you deserve no sympathy for your problem at all. As for contacting your lawyer, good luck. I wouldn't touch that case if I were a lawyer, specifically because you agreed to all terms of the TOS by using the service, Including:

4.2 Disclaimer of Liability for Damages.
