I've read many posts dumping on this device, and admittedly I haven't had much experience yet, but after 24 hours, it works fine for me. Plugged it in (behind an existing router), waited the requisite few minutes for updates or whatever, picked up the phone to hear dial tone, and never looked back.
This morning, the wireless dropped off and back a couple of times, but my other wireless router does periodically also.
I read one post where it was recommended to disable the wireless, QOS etc. (basically lobotomize it, make it a dumb VOIP terminal only) and it shines. If needs be, I'll do that, but so far, so good. My intent with this box was to use it while travelling for phone number portability, but also to let my laptop (which only has wireless, no wired NIC) communicate when some hotels only have wired internet.
Cheers. |

Thanks for the info, I decided to stay with my current device for now.. That new D-Link wireless one looks kind of interesting though. |
