it's true that port forwarding WILL NOT WORK with the 2442 when you are trying to access a service on your lan, from your lan.

this is completely unacceptable to me, and i'm really dissapointed with Vonage / motorola. any other router i've ever used forwarded perfectly, whether from the LAN or WAN. the hosts file workaround does work, but when you have a webserver with a large number of sites, using host headers, and a large number of client machines on your LAN, it's a huge pain in the butt. if i had know this, i never would have bought the 2442.

to any Vonage employee reading this, you really need to work with motorola and provide us with a firmware update that addresses this problem.
