It is not possible to do by calling up Vonage at this time. They can only do exchanges on defective equipment under warranty and will only replace it with the same device. If you call and ask about changing your device due to personal preference they will tell you to go purchase a device at any of their retail partners(Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples). Vonage agents are authorized to give you a $40 dollar credit towards a new device but many don't offer it or don't know about it. If you send an e-mail to billing@vonage.com after activating the new device they should apply the $40 dollar credit to your account.

Call Customer Service and tell them that you have just purchased new hardware, and that you want to transfer your account from the old hardware to the new hardware. Have both devices handy (well, you'll probably be using the old one anyway) in case they need MAC addresses or other information from them, and they should be able to do the swap for you pretty easily.
