Ask your ISP to check the Transmit and Receive channel power on your cable modem. I had a similar issue that was causing me to drop out. The transmit and receive channel power was too low, and once they fixed that, I set up QOS and have been running clean since, with the exception of when there are lightning storms in the area.
Just checked with ISP - Roadrunner - and they say power levels look good. Suggested that I try to connect the phone directly to the cable modem, bypass the router, and see what happens. I may try that tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestion.
