Having trouble with dropped audio, particularly where the person I've called can't here snippets of what I am saying and some dropped calls.
Connection information is below.
1. Baltimore, MD 2. Comcast 3. Surfboard 5200 modem 5. RT31P2 6. Setup -- Modem ---->Vonage Adapter-->PC

Raleigh, NC...same trouble here for about 3 days. Audio is dropping on both ends of the call. Tried resetting, rebooting, re-etc, all to no avail. |

Ask your ISP to check the Transmit and Receive channel power on your cable modem. I had a similar issue that was causing me to drop out. The transmit and receive channel power was too low, and once they fixed that, I set up QOS and have been running clean since, with the exception of when there are lightning storms in the area. |

Just checked with ISP - Roadrunner - and they say power levels look good. Suggested that I try to connect the phone directly to the cable modem, bypass the router, and see what happens. I may try that tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestion. |
