I've seen a couple of posts on this situation and have tried the suggestions, but still cannot get my DVR to make the call to Directv.
Here's my setup
Wall (Verizon DSL) to Westall modem (from Verizon) to Motorola VT2442. Right now, I've got the phone line from the Directv HDVR plugged into port 2 of VT2442. Is this right, and if so, what should my dial settings, prefixes etc. be? If anyone could offer some help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Is port 2 on your VT2442 active? Phone ports 1 and 2 are not for 2 phones on the same line, they're for 2 separate lines. Both 1 and 2 will be active only if you're paying for 2 lines.
