Post subject: Vonage and PBX's
I'm building a new home. I'm planning on getting a Panasonic Home PBX. I'd like to use my Linksys RT31P2 with it. Has anyone done this?
Thx.

The biggest potential problem is echo. Phone systems usually have good echo cancellation but some may have problems dealing with the delay added by
Voip
like
Vonage
.
Voip
tends to have larger delays than normal phone networks. If you get echo the phone system might not be able to cancel it because of the delay+echo. Depends a lot on the quality of the echo canceller. What is the model of the phone system.
Chances are you won't have any problems but no guarantees.

Another thing to keep in mind is
Vonage
will not support or help you with any sort of PBX system. If you are experiencing an issue, they will have you plug a phone directly into the back of your
Vonage
device and if that works then they are done helping you. If you feel comfortable with working with and troubleshooting a PBX system, then this should not be a problem, but I just thought I would give you a heads up.
