HI all..
I currently have 3 phones hardwired via my phone jacks and my Vonage rounter ... every phone is plugged either into the router or my wall mounted phone jacks...
I'm thinking of adding or replacing a couple phones with newer units and was wondering if the phone Sets where you have one "main" phone plugged into a phone jack and then the other 1 or 2 phones in the set do not plug into a phone jack but work via a electric jack and wirelessly through the "main" phones base unit...
Will these work with Vonage ... or does every phone used with Vonage have to either be plugged into a wall phone jack or router ...???
Thanks, TIM |

They work fine. Just make sure you get the 5.8Ghz phones, NOT 2.4Ghz. |

Man... Glad I didn't pick up those 2.4 phones that I saw today...
Why the 5.8s over the 2.4s ... Does it have to do with some sort of interferance?
Thanks for the help...

2.4Ghz phones can wreck havoc with wireless networks. Even if you don't have one now you may want one later, a neighbor may have one, etc.
If the 2.4Ghz phones are a lot cheaper you may want to consider them, but the 5.8Ghz phones have far fewer interference possibilities. |

I agree with arcking. I originally bought 2.4 ghz and had a ton of interference, despite not having a wireless network at the time. I now use a VTech 5.8 Ghz with 4 handsets and also have a wireless network. No hard wiring, no interference, no problems. |
