Vonage Advertises that you save 50% in your phone bill. This is plain FALSE ADVERTISING! as people switch to Vonage rather than save 50% on their phone Bill.

Huh? That makes no sense.

As for the general idea that their claim is false, Vonage is very specific in detailing the callings plans and the dates they compared to arrive at their 50% savings claim, and it is accurate. Whether any particular person is using one of the plans they compare to, or whether the prices of those comparison plans have changed since Vonage did the comparison will determine whether or not that particular person saves 50%. But it certainly is not false advertising.

By the way . . . my savings is somewhat more than 50%.

Well, judging that you steal your neighbor's WIFI connection and then cry identity theft, your opinion holds very little water here. Very Happy

You save at least 50% provided you have a landline with the same features and you have an existing high-speed Internet connection. I used to pay Verizon $86/month after taxes. I had a few extra features with Verizon but even after removing them, I'm still $60-$70 while Vonage is $25-$30.

The credibility of postings tend to stop at spelling errors for me, not sure about you.

I used to have a Bell SOuth twisted pair line.

With all the services I had on that line, and with the regional long distance plan I had (to call all throughout Florida), and with my long distance charges, I paid about $90 a month.

Now, I have two lines, a fax and voice line, and all the same features, as before, and my phone bill varies from about $50 to $60. Not quite 50% but enough of a savings that I am happy.

I figure that if all the savings of everyone were averaged out, it woudl be about %50.

But, I do not want to blindly defend Vonage. I am unhappy that they do not have a better pricing plan for the V-Phone and teh WiFi phone when you already have a business plan. What does bother me is someone who posts adolescent complaints without substantiating them.

Also I would like to point out that they say you can save UP TO 50% on your telephone bill. Which is still a lie because I am saving over 50% Lol

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin.... Didn't you get the memo? Any savings OVER 50% are supposed to be sent to my PayPal account. And you owe some serious back dues, m'friend. Razz
