Does anyone receive a Caller ID when a second call comes thru? On my phone and Caller ID box I do not receive anything. Just wondering if my phone/box is the culprit and the caller ID actually does come thru but I cannot display it.
Yes, I get call waiting ID with no problems. All caller ID units do not display the information, you have to make sure your phone is "Call Waiting ID" capable.
Let me add something to that. Most dedicated caller ID boxes do not do Call Waiting ID. You will usually only get that information on the phone that you are on, if it is Call Waiting ID capable.
I think the call-waiting functions have some serious issues. I just purchased a caller-ID box that is designed to work with the call waiting Caller ID (it even has a flash button on the box). Instead of displaying the phone number it just answers the call automatically. Of course, the first caller is wondering where I went. The box could be defective, and I will replace it, but I think there is something wrong with the Vonage servce or ATA box. I'll followup with Customer Service when I get a chance.
