Well for me as of yesterday the delay audio with SimulRing activated seems to have been fixed. I had serveral calls come in and my outgoing all work fine. I do understand they are phasing the fix in so maybe yours will be fixed soon.

Ok, today the delay problem with SimulRing has been fixed and there is no more delay. But, the bad news is that my voice mail is messed up.

When your on the Vonage phone and dial the VM number, it bypasses the front end stuff and directly asks you for your password. Now, it's as if I were on a non-vonage phone, I need to enter #, enter my phone number 1-999-9999 and then my passcode.

What next?

Seems to be fixed here as well. I just got a call, picked up and said, "Hello," immediately -- and they heard me! Woohoo!

As of yesterday my call delay is there. I have changed my configuration. I have gone to my old linksys router and having the vonage-router-adapter (WRTP54G) hard wired into the old router and the wireless feature disabled.

Cable Modem >> Old Linksys B Router >> New Linksys Voip WRTP54G with Wireless off and getting IP from Old Linksys DHCP.

All the delays have disappeared. I do not understand why this happens but I am keeping this configuration.

If somebody has an explanation I am eager to know why. It is a very expensive phone adaptor.

I have the same problem but Simulring is not enabled but I did try it once so there are numbers stuffed in there. Maybe this too is an issue. I can not clear the numbers out either. This did start about a month ago. Glad to hear that there is a fix coming soon. Inbound calls seem to work just fine. I have the cheapy Dlink VTA. Any problems with that device?

Thanks All!! This is a great forum!

I too have the annoying delay when I make outgoing calls, people always have to say hello twice before I can hear them. I do not have simulring activated, so it's not that, but there are numbers in there that I cannot clear out. I have unplugged everything and checked all the connections, I don't know what else to do. I have been a Vonage customer since last November and up until now I have loved it and had no problems. I've had the delay for about a month as well and it's getting very irritating. I hope that this can be fixed soon, I don't want to have to go back to a regular landline phone.

I am having the Delay problem.

It just started around the first of the month (9/01/06)
I didn't have the Simulring turned on.
It is driving us batty.
We have missed several calls because of this, thank goodness for caller ID.

BTW I am located in South Texas.

I had this problem last month. It went away last week, but just today I noticed when I placed a couple of calls that I had to say hello a couple of times and the person on the other end sounded as if they couldn't hear me at first.

I've also noticed in the past week or so that I'm getting more echo than usual. Last few phone calls (to different places) had an annoying echo of my own voice coming back to me after a half-second delay or so.

Internet connection is stable as ever (I keep testing it) at 7/512. Phones are the same -- no changes to hardware. I reset my modem, router, and Vonage box once a week. Vonage quality just seems to fluctuate a lot not only from week to week but call to call. Intermittently, a call goes perfectly... go figure. Wink

I have contacted Vonage several times and they said there was a lot of packet loss on at my ISP, Comcast in Chicago. There is a bit of loss but it just does not make sence why all of us are having the same problem. I may try upgrading my home router to one with QoS. Maybe this will work better. Anyone with a QoS enabled router having this problem?

Confused

Update.

I got so frustrated I called Tech support, they had me run a couple of checks and told me to turn off the cable modem first, then the Vonage wireless router, wait at least 20 minutes and turn everything back on.

I did....thinking it was just a run around....

Wow, I got phone!!!

I can answer with one "Hello".
The tech even called me back a couple of hours to check if it was working.

I am once again impressed with Vonage.
