ok I have been using Vonage for a few months now and just recently I noticed that the quality of reception has dropped I can hear who I am talking to crystal clear but the person who I am talking to can’t hear a thing I am saying I have called my house and had someone answer so I could hear it for myself and it sounds like a bad cell phone connection has any one else had this problem? If so do you know of anyways that mite be able to fix this?

Linksys WRT54G v1.1
the Vonage box is the one with four ports and two phone jacks its the newer one I think
the set up goes
modem-vonage-router-pc

I have two phones one is a 900Mhz and the other is 2.4GHZ
router channel is set to channel 11

You missed a lot of the technical details. They're listed here . In the meanwhile, 2.4 GHz cordless phones and wireless routers are a recipe for trouble. Try getting rid of one or the other and seeing how that works.

2. Your ISP name and type (cable, DSL, wireless etc) Cable Roadrunner
3. Upload and download speeds download is about
4. Modem make and model
5. Type of Vonage adapter used ie RT31P2 or PAP2 the newer one with the four ethernet ports
6. Setup of Network ie Modem---->Vonage Adapter-->PC modem-vonage-router-PCs
7. Issue you are experiencing ie dropped calls, choppy audio etc Bad audio

and I have had a wierless router for two years or so now and never have had problems with the audio before

ok did some experimenting its my router cuase it is sneding an internet signal and the hone is sending a internet signal so they conflt

How close do you have the phone base station and router? I believe Vonage recommends that they be at least 4 feet apart.

Also, wireless B/G routers broadcast their signal at 2.4Ghz which is the same as you stated your phone is. There are 5.8Ghz cordless phones available, some of which Vonage even supplies as MTA's(Uniden, Vtech) so I believe they would not cause interference as the 2.4Ghz models do.

You could either get a 5.8Ghz cordless phone, or get an 802.11a access point/cards which works in the 5(.8?)Ghz range.
