Had some initial problems with the LNP link on the website that Prod Support sorted out - entered LNP data online and had one small hiccup - redid the next day (Oct 31) and completed on Nov 10.

No bad experiences - no Indian accents, no rude operators, no need to get supervisor on line, everything done as promised.

Two months and just promises. "You'll have an email in 24-48 hours". "We've escalated to higher management". At least twice each. Nothing happened. I canceled Vonage even though it cost me. They have no credibility in my view. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Set up the adapter late Saturday, January 30th. Service was working fine immediately.
Current Status: Transfer Completed Temp Virtual Number : 1718XXXXXXX Transfer Date: January 5, 2007

Updated Date: Number Transfer Progress History: Required Action
December 30, 2006 Awaiting Letter of Authorization
December 30, 2006 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received
December 30, 2006 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Accepted
December 30, 2006 Transfer Sent to Carrier
January 1, 2007 Carrier Approved Transfer
January 5, 2007 Completed LNP Transfer

I think it made a huge difference that my number was owned by the company I left, Verizon. I remember porting my landline from AT&T to IDT not so long ago and it took forever. The departing company makes a huge difference.
