Wouldn't it be great to see who your talking too.Video phone should be made available a.s.a.p,not only would it be more personable and fun but it would put Vonage on the map.Who wants video phone a.s.a.p? |

I think a video phone would be huge. Even if you could only use it with other Vonage customers. It would give consumers another reason to chose Vonage other than cost. It would be a PR bonanza. (Worth a lot more than those stupid ads).
The technoloy should not be that difficult. They would only have to modify their current soft-phone. Even if 1% of their customers use the video phone at first, the publicity would pay for the cost and more. |

Packet8 has this feature and also sells a video phone which has a built in camera.

Most Americans don't even know this is possible. This is huge.
Most non-VOIP providers will find it very difficult to offer this service.
I would rather Vonage spend money on developing this technology than spend all of this money on these silly adds. |

I could have sworn I received a email about 18 months ago that Vonage was gearing up for a Video Phone Service. Perhaps I am wishing but I swear I saw it.... |

If they can get this done and with their ad budget, you can see how they could develope real demand for the service.
Demand not based on price, but demand from accounts that want video!! |

I agree, in this new electronic age , these are the instruments that in the late 60's my teacher said that we would be able to do....we are so close...I hope that Vonage makes that leap forward and supplies that services to its customers and NEW customers......In a age where family is spread so far over the lands this would be a real advantage. As important.. I belive with the DSL and cable companies offering up to 5 GB of broadband to share, it would enough to supply a good video, without glitching.... |
