Hello- right now, with regular land line, I tape-record telelphone calls. (Yes the person on the other end knows - this is for business and it is all very formal). I do this with a Radio Shack cord plugged into a cassette recorder and this cord connects the corded phone to the wall phone jack (cord similar to radio shack mini recorder control item #43-1237, not the suction-cup thingy). This makes very clear cassette recordings.
Can I use a similar setup if I get Voip? -Can I still casette-record calls? -Row1 |

I would think so. The adapters simulate an ordinary phone circuit just as closely as possible, so most equipment that works with a POTS line will also work with a Voip line. |

Yes, you CAN record your calls using the Radio Shack device. That is where I purchased my phone recording equipment. The results are the same as recording calls on copper. |

thanks! this helps - i am paying so much for land line phone, cable, cell phone, and dsl internet.
i am thinking of getting cable internet and getting Voip over cable, then dropping regular land line phone and dsl internet.
my cable company said i can do Voip over cable internet as well as dsl.
my prob has been i really need a good, recordable phone line connection for calls.
If anyone else has any comments, please post. |
