What is the real score about VG's quite period?

I e-mailed Vonage yesterday day and ask questions on the status of their effort to fix their customer service which got a lot of complaints lately and if they are going to cut down on advertisement and what is their plan to be profitable. I believe those are legitimate questions for an investor like me. I wanted to have a sense of this company have any plans at all for a turn around. But all I get was this reply.

As you may already know, we are in a quiet period and are unfortunately precluded from answering the questions you ask. We invite you to join us during our August 1 conference call where we hope to address some of your concerns.

Is VONAGE still officially under the quite period? Or is this one big lie?

I'd go that way. I'd worked for Vonage CS (one of the WORST jobs I've ever had, look at why they're always hiring....) and heard the EXACT same thing Sept. 05. 'We know we can improve and are taking specific steps in that direction', that sort of BS.
Vonage seems to be a Company whose main objective is increasing its Customer base with no real concern as to adequately service that base. Next time you talk to a CS rep, as that person how long they've been at Vonage. Admittedly it's a relatively new Co., but I'll bet it's under 6 mos.

I would think that they are under a quiet period before earnings announcements next week? Can anyone confirm that?
