I just got my Vonage service up and running, with my RoadRunner (Brighthouse) cable and a Motorola VT2442 modem. Voice quality is great, my POTS number was ported successfully (and quickly too! 9 days total) and everything seems to be working great, EXCEPT for my caller ID on my phone.

Before the switch (with SBC) the caller ID date/time stamp was correct. Now with Vonage service, incoming calls are stamped incorrectly. A call last night (7/20/06, 8-something PM) was stamped as 9/05/05 at 10:xx AM.

not sure what's going on here, I logged into my router to see if there was a timezone or similar setting, but didn't find anything.

tried reseting it? mm i believe option for time zone could be found on web account... tried that?

I looked all over my web account, and couldn't find anything that relates to setting the time or timezone.

Login to your account and select:

Account -> Edit Account Information

Timezone is listed in the first block "Personal Information"

It was set to the correct timezone, but I saved the changes again so I'll just have to see what happens.

I've experienced the exact same issue you're having, in fact I'm experiencing it now. If there is a power outage, (which I just did) or if I have to reboot my cable modem or router, the date and time stamp for whatever reason revert to 09/08 at XX:XX AM. Instead of calling Vonage, what I've noticed is that after about a day or two It will normally self-correct itself.

Being that you are a "new" customer you may want to call customer support and let them know of this issue.

I too was having this issue...for example, I received call at 7/25 6:57 PM and caller ID stated 9/17 8:44 PM. Noticed on my Vonage devices status page that the time was unknown. Unplugged it's power, plugged it back in, waited a minute, repeated the test and all was well and good.
