How Would I setup two Gateways on one Computer, so that I can either access My linksys WRT54G Router or Vonahge VT100 Phone Adapter?Vonage tells me it's not possible, but i beleive is, and Vonage just doesn't want to support this. Why else would the VT100 allow you to asign a Gateway? it's possible to setup two gateways.. i've looked it up in search.. but nothing really tells me how to set it up. if this is NOT possible, how would I set up two Networks (each with their own Gateway? (and possibly bridge them together)
P.s. The Reason I beleive this is possible, is because I have my Router hooked up (Wirelessly) and I can access the router... 192.168.1.1. or My Cable Modem at 192.168.100.1 or is this because the cable modem is in front of the router? I do not want the VT100 in front of my Router... it slows down internet traffic to a standstill, and other computer won't be able to connect. Thanks, Mike |

What you propose is only possible when two nics are installed on your computer. |

i'm not clear on WHY you would want to do this.. et me know what youa re hoping to accomplish because to me i wonder why you aren't just plugging the Vonage box into a router.. |

Ok so if on a wired network (linksys BEFSR81) that is setup with static IP's (192.168.1.XXX) how do you access the router to get to the GUI to allow the VTA 1000 to be recognised by the network? I'vve tried it before the router and after the router and all I get is 2 flashes. Please help. It can't be that hard. Thanks |

well i am not sure how that call box works. but with mine when you intialize it it speask the ip to you. What you would probably have to do for the initial setup is turn on dhcp. As far as being outside the router.. you would have to get info on what the default lan ip is going to be for the box.
Have you trie dturning on dhcp for the initial configuration? |
