I read some other post below about multiple voice mailboxes.
This would be a huge feature that I would be willing to pay for.
I would love to be able to have the option of having my calls go to an auto attendant that would either be a multi-mailbox system, or even better, having the auto-attendant answer first and then transfer the call to my Vonage line after they make a selection.
I would be willing to pay money for this service.
This is on my dream list. Right now I am using a computerized system called Fax Talk Pro to do this for me but when the line is busy, it will go to the Vonage voice mail.
Fax Talk is taking about coming up with a multi line system in the next couple of months, but with the Vonage system, you could have 10 people calling at once and having the system deal with the calls for you. |

Yes, I totally agree. Auto Attendant and multiple voice mail boxes are essential to small business. I, like you, would pay extra for these services. Rumor had it that multiple voicemail boxes were going to be released ("in beta testing") but no one at Vonage will confirm this feature will be rolled out. |

Well I just got a reply to one of my post from a Vonage employee in the number change forum.
I know they are listening.
Let's see what happens. |

Multiple voicemail boxes are a must especially for small business or self-employeed individuals. Definantly an attractive feature. I know other majors providers do offer this as an add-on. I would have no problem paying for this service. |

I sent this feature request to Vonage via there website. We will see what they do!
It would really be nice to see Vongage include unified messaging! |

I agree wholeheartedly. I use Vonage with a residential line, as well as a Business Line for our non-profit organization. We've got 3 employees - all working in different locations. An autoattendant feature would be very useful (such as the one Packet8 provides), which would allow partners, volunteers, and donors choose which line to connect to or leave a message for.
I've been a Vonage customer for 3 years now. It's time for some new features, especially for business clients. |

If enough of us request unified messaging, maybe they will see the business potential of providing such services and give it to us. There traditional competitors are now providing unified messaging so Vonage is behind the 8 ball on this one.
I do not think this feature should be limited to business accounts, it should be a value added feature or a free feature for all accounts.
Many basic home telephone answering machines come with multiple mailboxes.
Unified messaging would be very easy for them to implement with software. All they would have to do is redesign the control panel on our account page for the additional features! |

Does anyone know if there's anything new with this? I would like multiple voicemail boxes too for my residential line like I had with BellSouth. |
