Would appreciate any help in locating a Power Adapter for the Vonage WRPT54G Linksys Wireless Router which can accept an Input of atleast 220 Volts.
The default Power Adapter that ships with the Router only accepts upto 120 Volts.
I live in CA, USA and it would be great if someone could give me some direction as to where I can obtain/purchase the Power Adapter accepting atleast 220 Volts as input.
Thanks. Kunal |

Your best bet is to buy a 230v adapter in the host country in which you desire to operate it. FAR less expensive to buy one there than it will be to buy one in the 'states. As far as running one of these in the USA on 240v, don't. The USA 240v system isn't like the system used in Europe and this can lead to a dangerous condition (no equipment ground.) |

You are correct, this is a problem for travel use. However, I found a source for 100-250V/50-60Hz power supplies that solve it for me.
Check out: http://trcelectronics.com/power-supply-external.shtml
Just make sure you get the proper output voltage and current capacity and you will have no problem. |
