I am new to Vongae. Will I have problems using my fax over the vonage line?

You shouldn't. There are some tweaks that you can find on this forum that will help.

I will be using my Creative Modem Blaster V.92 to do most of my faxing through a computerized program called fax talk pro. On very rare occasions, I will use my Brother MPC 5400 CN.

So far I am very impressed with the service only after using it for one day.

I am waiting for my old phone number to be ported over to Vonage, then I am going to order an additional line, and an 800 number.

Thanks

So have you tried faxing? Did it work all right?

Presently, my Faxtalk system is still on my old line. I will try to figure out how to test the new line soon, however until my home business number is cut over to the new Vonage line, I cannot take a chance on the system being down when people call or fax to me right now. I will let you know soon.

I probably make 2 or 3 faxes a week over Vonage. Why is there an option to pay to send faxes if it works perfectly fine without paying?

I agree. However for running a small business it looks better to have a separate fax line. I will figure this out once my main number gets ported over.

Its target for people who need a dedicated fax line. Its less expensive than a voice line, but its minute plan would not be great for a voice line.

I tend to send and receive a lot of faxes. When my main number gets ported over I am going to order a 2nd regular vonage line. I may just use that for fax as well. The 9.99 sounds nice but I do not want to end up paying more than the 24 bucks for faxes. Might as well just use the 2nd phone number for that.

Yes, you will have problems faxing from Vonage. It just doesn't work.
