Here is todays calls I tested from my cell. I called three times and only two show up.

Call #1 - My Uniden base station was set to Do not disturb. Apparently, when it is set in DND mode, the answering machines is enabled and all calls are sent to my answering machie, NOT Vonage voice mail. As a result, displaying as a recieved call and burning one minute.
Call #2 - I called and hung up before voice mail/answering machine could pick up. No call record as there should be none.
Call #3 - And here is the kicker. DND is disabled so my phone can ring. Call goes to Vonage Voicemail and I do not allow my greeting to complete and hang up well before the *beep*. Call shows up as a received call and eating a minute.
Now I am still in my free month for another 7 days. i plan to switch to the 500 minue plan after that because I love Vonage now! Why does it eat my minutes in example #3???

The incoming calls show in the activity log, but THEY DON"T COUNT AGAINST YOUR MINUTES. This has been posted in several of the replies to you original message. |

He's just confused and I guess our point is just not sinking in.
When you're in your Vonage web account, under either 'Dashboard' or 'Activity', it shows both inbound and outbound calls and their duration. The inbound call times are just for your information. Go to 'Billing' and down on the left hand side, you'll see 'View Call Details'. Click on that and you'll see your OUTBOUND calls that are either In-Plan (within your 500 minutes), Free (toll free or to another Vonage customer), or if your over your 500 minutes, you'll see how much you were charged or your call.
You WON'T see inbound calls under 'Billing' as you are NOT charged for them. |
