Ya know, I really didn't do too much to the 2142, leaving it as a DHCP client with NAT and DHCP server enabled (the default behaviour), then I added his MAC into the Linksys routers static lease DHCP table for reliable DMZ processing. I've considered putting it right behind the cable modem, and connect my Linksys router to the Moto, but from what I've read others have had grief making that work. If my DD-WRT firmware didn't do QoS so well, then I'd probably play around some more with that config. I figure that it's pretty stable right now so I'd best just leave well enough alone! Smile

I also considered placing the 2142 first before my router but decided against it. Its all working so I will not mess with it. Thanks anyway.

I am running Shaw and Telus internet at my home at the same time. If you use shaw your called parties will have problems hearing you at random times. SHAWS $10 Qos and Extreme internet does not fix this at all. If you switch to telus your problems will completely vanish. Test your Voip with telus and all systems are go! Test with shaw and you will have issues with Qos and Jitter above 10ms [url=http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip] I am in Burnaby BC. Shaw will send a technician to "help" me all of a sudden now that they are losing me to telus. Go figure. Get Telus Dry DSL for $35 a month with a year or more contract or $40 month to month. Add $5 to each price if you dont have a Telus cell. Telus is slower on paper but it feels like Shaws faster stuff. DSL is dedicated bandwidth. SHaw cable is shared.

Almost 2 years on Telus. Vonage is ROCK SOLID! I can dload torrents, xbox live and talk at the same time while sharing the bandwidth with 3 other computers all the while the 4th machine wchich is a dedicated torrent box that runs 24/7. Of course I limit my upload on my torrent box to 40k because the max is about 100k and around 50k up the problems return but My problems are gone till this day. I never even knew what torrents where when I had Shaw so don't be thinking that is what screwed me when I had Shaw cable internet and back then there was only 2 machines and the Voip. I have since upgraded to telus extreme-I (not because I ever had any problems I just like my internet fast and stable as possible). I was here to see if shaw had fixed there Voip issues in Burnaby. I feel happy that we went with telus and when we joined we where given $400 in American Express Gift Cards.
