I have posted about this before, I have included my original post as to not have to retype it again. This now happens at least once or more a week, and it is very random, and can happen when I call anyone. The end result as you will read is that I get a wrong number answer my call, and the party I was calling gets a wrong number, but my info shows up on caller id. Please please please any ideas?? I have now been with Vonage for a year and a half, I just got used to this issue, but now it is very frequent.

Here is my original post :

"Ok, today this problem I have posted about before happened again, this time i have more details. I made a call to a friend that has land based carrier, when they didn't answer, I got an answering machine that was not theirs. I called them back, they said that they just had a wrong number but it showed up on their caller ID as my number. This has happened to me before, twice to be exact, both times to my father. This time it was not to him. He doesn't have caller ID either to give me that particular information. he has Verizon, my friends today have Conestoga. Calls are placed in and called to Pennsylvania. All calls were to numbers within a 7 mile radius. Please, I hope someone else has seen this, or knows of a solution. Even though this has happened only 3 times, I have been a Vonage member for only 2 months. Thanks in advance."

I had a problem like that with verizon. I hooked a multi line phone to one of my outlets and on the second line I would get someones house from down the street phone #. My answering machine would pickup before theirs. They didn't have a clue at first. I could use their phone # to make calls.

They should probably contact verizon.

It isnt verizon, its Vonage. A neighbor down the street has Vonage as well, and it happens to them too.

When this happens you need to contact Vonage T2 Tech Support.

Bear w/me if my typing is bad.

On disability from Vonage T2 TS, unable 3 use right arm-Rotator cuff surgery on 7/10.

You need to have DTMF setting changed. The router is not properly sending DTMF in a universal manner.

Have them try "In-band" setting that seems to work best with RTP300, RT31P2, PAP2, and WRTP54G.
