For the last couple of days, my click-2-talk no longer seems to work. I use both the click-2-talk application as well as the Firefox plug-in.

When I initiate a call, my phone rings (caller-id even shows c2c-...) and I answer the call. But dead silence is all I hear, and the call never goes through.

Is anyone else having this problem, or know what I might do to troubleshoot/fix the problem?

Thanks in Advance,
Diane

I have some more info on this...

I have 2 Vonage phone lines on two separate phone adapters. For grins, I tried the Click-2-Call on the other phone number and it works fine.

On the line I have been having trouble with, I also had SimulRing enabled. I turned this off and the Click-2-Call works as it used to.

This used to work with SimulRing, as I had been using it this way for months. Just the past couple days has it stopped working with this config.

Anybody have the same experience?

Can you provide more information about how your SimulRing is configured?

I have never had success, for example, when attempting to use a non-Vonage phone with Click-2-Call even though the call is placed via SimulRing to the alternate device.

Are you are trying to use Click-2-Call via your Vonage device and not the SimulRing alternate device?

I have had SimulRing configured to ring to my cell phone, so I just give out one phone number and I can get my calls when I'm away from my Vonage Device.

I also used Click-2-call with my Vonage Device. My cell phone would also ring, but if I answered my Vonage Device the Click-2-call was placed.

At least that's how it used to work.

I just got off the phone with Vonage Customer Care and they did tell me that they have this issue in their knowledge base. There was a recent system updated that caused this to occur. He told me basically they are cancelling each other out.

I do hope they fix this soon as I really liked my configuration.

Thanks for posting this! I had/have the exact same problem... i'll try without simulring on (also going to my cell phone) and post if it fixes or not.

Thanks all for the incompatibility information. I too noticed that Click to Call stopped working, and now that I've (hopefully temporarily) disabled Simulring, it works just fine.

This is a rather annoying incompatibility, and hopefully Vonage gets it straightened out.

I hope Vonage is listening!

This is ridiculous...

The Click2Call and Simulatenous Ring worked together for me for years.

Now they are degrading our current level of service. Providing no way to know IF or WHEN it will be fixed.

Its been 5 weeks. Sounds like they need to change their marketing page to say Features:
"Click 2 Call OR Simutaneous Forwarding, but not both"

I had quit using Click2Call because the simulring was more important. So, today, for grins, I tried the Click2Call and it WORKED.

I'm a happy camper again (except for the fact that I don't know when it was "fixed")!!!

Mad

I guess I spoke too soon... today it is NOT working. What's up with that? I guess it's time to call again and see if I can get any explination on what is happening now.
